My nephew Seth Richards has successfully started his writing career at
Playback Magazine. This is an on-line only magazine and it deserves
your attention, imo. Please visit it at and
enjoy reading about music. Here's the magazine's description.

From the publishers of The Absolute Sound and Hi-Fi+, Playback Digital
Magazine is a FREE online magazine written for music enthusiasts who
appreciate great sound. Playback is packed with music reviews and
artist interviews that cover all genres of music. Plus, it has audio
equipment reviews for those interested in affordable, music worthy
gear. You’ll also get news galore on industry buzz as well as concert
and tour updates. Sign up today and you’ll also get free access to the
website, which is constantly updated with breaking news from the music

Afterglow airs from 8:00 am to 9:30 am every Thursday morning. Tune in
for a delightful mix of eclectic musical genres including a healthy
dose of Progressive Rock. Tune in at 91.7 FM or on the internet at:
Check out Afterglow on MySpace at:

Today, Afterglow will enjoy an extra two hours from 10 am to noon. On
top of that, Greg Jones of local band Pinnacle will join me, sharing
his personal Progressive Rock music library.

Tonight at 11 pm on Galactic Travels, I'll continue the month-long
Special Focus on Stephen Philips. The Featured CD at Midnight will be
"Cycles 4" by Stephen Philips on Dark Duck Records. For
details, see the Special Focus page at:

The acoustic power duo RED consists of Karl Eisenhart (guitar and
vocals from Pinnacle) and Chris Michels (violin, mandolin, and vocals).

They are still practically living at the fabulous Bear Creek Mountain
Resort . Check the resort's website for

Well, it's not really summer yet, but one of the early signs occurs
TOMORROW... YES YES YES>.>>..the acoustic (inexplicably three-piece)
power duo RED resumes its residency at THE GRILL AT BEAR CREEK THIS
FRIDAY AT 8:30!!!!!

Yes, a wonderful Cajon player, Ian, will be joining Chris and Karl
most weeks unless he has something better to that's possible.

Pulse will be at the Maingate to kick off their Bike Night on Tuesday,
May 20. Doors open at 6 pm and music starts at 7. It is important
that people attend live music performances or else the clubs stop
hiring living, breathing musicians. And you don't need to ride a
motorcycle to attend, either!

As always, please visit our website to find maps, directions, and other
information about each club we play.

PULSE plays at the level of a tribute band without specializing on any
one band. This is no mean feat! This high caliber Classic Rock band
plays the music of Steely Dan, Santana, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Moody
Blues, Jethro Tull, Blues Brothers, Beatles, and other top shelf
groups. The group includes Greg Van Allen (guitars and vocals), Rod
Gilkeson (vocals), Bob Ashmore (Keyboards), Bill Fox (bass and vocals),
and Billy Fenstermacher (drums and vocals).

My next stint on the AM/FM Show will be Saturday, May 10 at 6:00 am.
I will continue the special on Sequences Electronic Music Magazine's
sampler CDs.

Tune in to WMUH Allentown at 91.7 FM, broadcasting from the campus of
Muhlenberg College. I alternate hosting the show with Bruce. When I
am at the helm, the show features electronic, ambient, and spacemusic
at the beginning, an eclectic mix of genres in the middle, and winds
up with Progressive Rock. WMUH's web site is

On Sunday, May 25, at 3:00 pm is the first concert of the season for
the Municipal Band. This one is at West Park. Free and outdoors!

We've been asked to contribute a track to Tuonen Tytär Volume 2 which
pays tribute to Progressive Rock of the '70s from Finland. The final
mix has been sent in for this compilation to be released on Musea
Records later this year.

On Friday, September 12, Pinnacle will open for Polish band Riverside.
Riverside will be playing at two music festivals in September and this
is their only non-festival show in North America this year. So catch
them while you can. Pinnacle will unveil some new music that night and
proceeds from this concert benefit the Metlar Bodine House Museum in
New Jersey. So while you're having fun, you can save history, too!

you're in for a real treat when you buy the CD! Order two or more
