COMING THIS WEEK:

SOUNDSCAPES CONCERT SERIES: http://soundscapes.us
=======================================================================
Friday, May 11, the Soundscapes Concert Series returns to the Nazareth
Center for the Arts with Broekhuis, Keller, and Schönwälder from
Germany.

Broekhuis, Keller, and Schönwälder consists of Dutch drummer and sound
technician Bas Broekhuis, German keyboard player and sequencing
specialist Detlef Keller, and German sound designer Mario Schönwälder.

Since September 1994, these three can be found on stage on a regular
basis having performed in France, the UK, Poland, the Netherlands,
Italy, and Germany. They have a discography that includes ten albums.

These three friends always have a lot of fun with their musical
adventures. Broekhuis and Keller have a technical background,
developing, altering, and repairing instruments and other electronic
devices. They do the bulk of the programming in the band. Schönwälder
is the organizational mind, taking care of album releases, concert
planning, and the oh so beloved bookkeeping.

The Soundscapes Concert Series is the concert companion to the Galactic
Travels radio program on WDIY-FM and to Thought Radio on WMUH-FM and
presents electronic music to the Lehigh Valley. This is the concert
series that presented Wave World (Netherlands), Dean DeBenedictis & Vic
Hennegan (California), Bernhard Wosteinrich (Germany), Robert Rich
(California), vidnaObmana (Belgium), The Ministry of Inside Things
(Philadelphia), Richard Lainhart (New York), Orbital Decay
(Quakertown), Mark Jenkins (UK), Mikronesia (Philadelphia), The
Tangent Project (Philadelphia), Technicolor Travel Agency (Poconos),
and Twyndyllyngs (Lehigh Valley) to local audiences.

Pinnacle is the Lehigh Valley's premier Progressive Rock band. They
craft a big sound of accessible music. They have played at festivals
(Prog Day and ProgOctoberfest) and theaters (Crossroads in New
Brunswick, NJ; Forum in Metuchen, NJ), backed Nick D'Virgilio (Genesis,
Tears for Fears, Spock's Beard) in concert, shared the stage with
Riverside (Poland), Spock's Beard (California), and performed at The
New Jersey Proghouse concert series multiple times. Influences
include Kansas, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Beatles,
Marillion, Spock's Beard, Dixie Dregs, Steve Morse Band, Rush, and
others. The music is hook-based songs that include musical flights of
fancy that you can really sink your teeth into.
