SOUNDSCAPES CONCERT SERIES: http://soundscapes.us ======================================================================= Sunday, September 30, the Soundscapes Concert Series returns to the Nazareth Center for the Arts with Bernhard Wostheinrich and Tim Motzer from Germany and Philadelphia, respectively. BERNHARD WOSTHEINRICH: Bernhard leads his own solo project "The Redundant Rocker" and his main collaborator is Markus Reuter (in CENTROZOON). He has also worked with Ian Boddy, Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock, No-Man singer Tim Bowness, Thorsten Niestrath, and Synapscape's Philipp Münch. Bernhard elicits meaning from abstraction in electronic music and painting. He has studied graphic design and has created an eclectic body of work in both graphics and music. Using a compositional approach akin to his work as a visual artist, Bernhard usually begins by improvising abstract sonic structures which are subsequently developed into an increasingly detailed aural picture. TIM MOTZER: Based in Philadelphia, this guitarist and composer finds infinite joy in diversity. His output as a leader and sideman crisscrosses multiple musical universes, including jazz, fusion, prog, hip-hop, soul, electronica, and the avantgarde. Motzer gets to explore these genres and the intersections between them via his ubiquitous presence in the wildly deep and varied Philly scene, where he can be found working with the likes of DJ/Producer King Britt, spoken word/hip-hop artist Ursula Rucker, and jazz-fusion bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma. He also traverses manifold territories through the many albums released on his own 1k Recordings label, including the expansive, laidback song forms of Nucultures, the crunchy jazz-funk of Jazzheads, and the solo soundscapes of his Tilomo alias. The Soundscapes Concert Series is the concert companion to the Galactic Travels radio program on WDIY-FM and to Thought Radio on WMUH-FM and presents electronic music to the Lehigh Valley. This is the concert series that presented Wave World (Netherlands), Dean DeBenedictis & Vic Hennegan (California), Bernhard Wosteinrich (Germany), Robert Rich (California), vidnaObmana (Belgium), The Ministry of Inside Things (Philadelphia), Richard Lainhart (New York), Orbital Decay (Quakertown), Mark Jenkins (UK), Mikronesia (Philadelphia), The Tangent Project (Philadelphia), Technicolor Travel Agency (Poconos), Broekhuis, Keller and Schonwalder (Germany), and Twyndyllyngs (Lehigh Valley) to local audiences. The progdj list is the central clearing house for radio playlists of
Progressive Rock programs. Tired of joining dozens of mailing lists to
post playlists or track airplay? The progdj list solves that problem.
The progdj list is the place to go in order to see playlists and CD

programs. Anyone interested in seeing playlists can join. There is NO
SPAM because I keep the spammers out before the members ever see any
hint of it.
The progdj list is for DJs (obviously!) and band members, record label

SOUNDSCAPES CONCERT SERIES: http://soundscapes.us
=======================================================================
Sunday, September 30, the Soundscapes Concert Series returns to the
Nazareth Center for the Arts with Bernhard Wostheinrich and Tim Motzer
from Germany and Philadelphia, respectively.
BERNHARD WOSTHEINRICH: Bernhard leads his own solo project "The
Redundant Rocker" and his main collaborator is Markus Reuter (in
CENTROZOON). He has also worked with Ian Boddy, Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock,
No-Man singer Tim Bowness, Thorsten Niestrath, and Synapscape's
Philipp Münch.
Bernhard elicits meaning from abstraction in electronic music and
painting. He has studied graphic design and has created an eclectic
body of work in both graphics and music. Using a compositional approach
akin to his work as a visual artist, Bernhard usually begins by
improvising abstract sonic structures which are subsequently developed
into an increasingly detailed aural picture.
TIM MOTZER: Based in Philadelphia, this guitarist and composer finds
infinite joy in diversity. His output as a leader and sideman
crisscrosses multiple musical universes, including jazz, fusion, prog,
hip-hop, soul, electronica, and the avantgarde. Motzer gets to explore
these genres and the intersections between them via his ubiquitous
presence in the wildly deep and varied Philly scene, where he can be
found working with the likes of DJ/Producer King Britt, spoken
word/hip-hop artist Ursula Rucker, and jazz-fusion bassist Jamaaladeen
Tacuma. He also traverses manifold territories through the many albums
released on his own 1k Recordings label, including the expansive,
laidback song forms of Nucultures, the crunchy jazz-funk of Jazzheads,
and the solo soundscapes of his Tilomo alias.
The Soundscapes Concert Series is the concert companion to the Galactic
Travels radio program on WDIY-FM and to Thought Radio on WMUH-FM and
presents electronic music to the Lehigh Valley. This is the concert
series that presented Wave World (Netherlands), Dean DeBenedictis & Vic
Hennegan (California), Bernhard Wosteinrich (Germany), Robert Rich
(California), vidnaObmana (Belgium), The Ministry of Inside Things
(Philadelphia), Richard Lainhart (New York), Orbital Decay
(Quakertown), Mark Jenkins (UK), Mikronesia (Philadelphia), The
Tangent Project (Philadelphia), Technicolor Travel Agency (Poconos),
Broekhuis, Keller and Schonwalder (Germany), and Twyndyllyngs (Lehigh
Valley) to local audiences.

The progdj list is the central clearing house for radio playlists of
Progressive Rock programs. Tired of joining dozens of mailing lists to
post playlists or track airplay? The progdj list solves that problem.
The progdj list is the place to go in order to see playlists and CD
and concert reviews by DJs of progressive rock-friendly radio
programs. Anyone interested in seeing playlists can join. There is NO
SPAM because I keep the spammers out before the members ever see any
hint of it.
The progdj list is for DJs (obviously!) and band members, record label
personnel, promoters, managers, and anyone else interested in seeing
what gets played on the air. Need to find who is playing prog on the
radio? Go to the progdj list.
